Lasagne alla Bolognese
The Bolognese original: a ragù simmered for two and a half hours until the meat is silky, layered thinly with béchamel and Parmigiano between sheets of egg pasta. Time is the only difficult ingredient.
Lactose-Free Strawberry Ice Cream
Ripe strawberries cooked briefly with sugar, folded into a sweetened coconut base and churned or still-frozen. Genuinely lactose-free rather than a compromise, and it scoops straight from the freezer.
